The Siberut National Grand Parks is 195.500 hectares ;ocated in Siberut Island. Expeditions to the interior of Siberut have become quite popular with many European tourist. A tripto these island offers genuine jungle tracking. The rain-forest with it fast-disappearing primitive lifestyle, would enthrall one when visiting the Mentawai Island. Siberut also offers a perfect place for surfing as it faces the Indian Ocean with its huge waves. Boats leave three times regularly a week from Padang (Muara Harbor) every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and take time to 10-12 hours to Muara Siberut, or 6 hours by hired speedboat.
