Sijunjung is one place for off the beaten track, 115 kms from Padang. In this hilly area can be found many interesting things to enjoy such as tropical jungle with wild river, several kind of flora and fauna, cave, hot spring waterfall and big flower Amor Phapallus Titanum, etc. In this area also live : Ungko, Siamang (Teilobatus Syndacfilus), Beruk (Macaca Nemestrina), red, black and grey Monkey (Macaca Fascicularis), Panther (Neofelis Nepubolis), Deer Pukang (Tarsius Speetrum), etc. Various kinds of birds inhabit the forest as well as different species of hornbill.
